Questions about PDF conversion

Will the Word file match my PDF exactly?

Editable mode rebuilds extracted text and basic formatting. Complex tables, columns, images and exact positioning are not reconstructed. Page appearance mode preserves each page as an image, which cannot be edited as text.

Can I convert a scanned PDF?

Yes, to Word or HTML using page appearance mode. This tool does not perform OCR. Text and Markdown require selectable text in the PDF.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Conversion runs in this browser and downloads are created on your device. Closing or resetting the page clears the current document.

What files and limits are supported?

One readable, unencrypted PDF up to 10 MB and 100 pages. Large page images and unusually complex documents may require selecting fewer pages.
